A space in your life for reflection time is often hard to find.  A place to retreat to, a unique place to come to think and rest, is within your grasp.  Solitude, beauty, comfort and gourmet cuisine can be found.  Our Old Homestead at Stockyard Creek, located in Victoria’s High-Country and Cooma House, located on Flinders Island in the Bass Strait are awaiting your presence…..

Stockyard Creek is a secluded farm, deep in the Howqua Valley, surrounded by State Forest and only 3 hours drive from Melbourne.  The old Homestead is rustic and serene.  You can experience what the life was like of our pioneers.

You can enjoy the clean crispness of mornings or marvel at electricity supplied by the sun and creek.  Drink in rainwater and fresh air.  Walk and talk the stories of the Howqua Hills and beyond to the Bluff and the magical Wonangatta Valley.  Soak up the history, the beauty, the spirituality offered by this little valley – used to film the “Man from Snowy River” and more recently an episode of MasterChef Professionals feeding the Mountain Cattlemen outside Stockyard’s Old Homestead.

Cooma House is located at historic Badger Corner on Flinders Island.  Hosted accommodation and wellbeing retreats are offered at Cooma House which also provides an ideal location from which to spend a week exploring the most historic and interesting island in Bass Strait.

Situated on a large tract of sculptured bushland, a short stroll to the beach and boat ramp, Cooma house is large and spacious.   It offers both inside and outside living.

The accommodation at Cooma House is in a separate wing. There are 2 double bedrooms with eastern sea views and a shared bathroom.  Cooma House has a large ‘L’ shaped living area, large dining table opening in to a spacious sitting room which features an open fire place, all with sea views.  A three sided north facing courtyard includes a fire pit with barbeque.

Unique 5 day retreats for women over 50 are offered in 2013 which include classes in water colour painting, singing, nutrition and exercises as well as a ‘kick start’ to a fitter more healthy mind and body.

Cooking classes are also offered in 2013.

Flinders Island is serviced by several air companies and vehicles can be hired at the town of Whitemark. Your host will arrange everything including: fares, meals and bookings..
